When we pierce the veil of the thinking mind, moving beyond the concepts through which we perceive the world and leaving behind the worries of the day, we arrive at an understanding of the simple beauty that is all around us.
Every moment. And this moment is ever-renewing, never-ending.
The breath, the body, is the gateway to this moment, the path that takes us into this world.
As we sit during our meditation time, we practice letting go of these thoughts that hold us in a constant pattern of minimizing everything that’s around us as “seen this, been there, done that”.
Through this lens of the conditioned mind, beauty is truly hard to come by. Life wears on us.
But it doesn’t have to be that way. With practice, we can open and relax into a different way of perceiving the world.
One that beckons us to see the mystery that abounds, and pick out those things that, even though they’ve been there all the time, we may have never seen before. What beauty!
Quick Meditation Tip
Decide on a place in your home that will be your meditation spot. A place that you can relax into each day, and feel safe, undisturbed by the hustle and bustle of the day. This is your spot. This is your time.
