Connection Matters

Connection Matters

Surround yourself with support today! You don’t have to do the heavy lifting alone.

I returned recently from a weekend in the Bay Area, celebrating my dad’s birthday.

We had a great time — conversations over coffee, partying til late, and lovely trips to the beach and Golden Gate Park. It was a fun and tender time.

I was reminded of the deep connection that I have with my dad, along with the rest of my family.

This connection also flows to the close friends that I have chosen as family.

On the flight home to Los Angeles, and even now, I feel uplifted and filled by this reminder. My team is stacked in my favor!

Take a moment to reflect on your team. Who is in your corner?

Giving thanks for the beautiful network of family and friends who support us each day allows us to relax. We feel safe. Provided for.

This feeling of safety is only a happy thought away, any time.

Isn’t it nice to know you have people?

Stress Release Tip

Need quick stress relief? Talk to someone! Talking about what’s going on with a calm and balanced listener will make you feel better instantly. Although it’s not always realistic to have a pal close by to lean on, building and maintaining a network of friend is great for your health.

Mindful Homework

As you talk with friends and colleagues the coming days, see if you can be completely there. If you catch yourself thinking of what you’re going to say next, stop. If you catch yourself thinking about something other than the conversation in front of you, take a breath and come back. Invest yourself fully in that exchange. Maintain the connection, open yourself to the moment.

Quote From Adam

“In everyone’s life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.”
– Albert Schweitzer
