We’ve all heard it from someone, or perhaps been guilty of it ourselves. “Meditation isn’t for me. I tried once, and I couldn’t get my mind to shut up!” – sounds familiar?
When you exercise you body you don’t see immediate results, but notice great benefits over time.
When you learn a new skill like a language, you expect it to take a lot of time and practice before you even can speak or understand much.
Yet a lot of people give up meditation after the first few tries.
And therein lies one of the most important aspects of meditation: continuity!
The practice of daily meditation allows you to make it a part of your daily life on a much deeper level, and let’s you experience the benefits it brings much more directly.
Do yourself a favor today, and challenge yourself to meditate for 10 days straight! Think you can do it?
(It is of course even better with 30 days, 90 days, or every day for the rest of your life. But we’ve all got to start somewhere, and I think 10 days a big first step!)
Go, go, let go!
“Every man must take time daily for quiet and meditation. In daily meditation lies the secret of power.”
– H. Emilie Cady
Do you meditate daily.. sometimes.. or never? Would love to hear your comment!
