Meditation Quote 47: “Do you pay regular visits to yourself? Start now.” – Rumi

You visit friends and family, cafés and restaurants, shopping centers and boutiques.. But how often do you pay visits to yourself?

I am of course not talking about “setting aside time for yourself” spent laying on the couch watching television, reading your favorite magazine or eating that most wonderful piece of chocolate cake.

If you already meditate regularly, then you might know what I am talking about.

“Visits to yourself” can mean a variety of things, but to me it’s is all about paying attention to and exploring the innermost part of yourself.

So, in the words of Rumi, I say: Start now.

“Do you pay regular visits to yourself? Start now.”
– Rumi
