About 70% of today’s US population are on medications, and 1 in 10 are on antidepressants! But why take an expensive pill with side effects, when you don’t have to pay anything for the habit of meditation?
The sad answers is this…
…because pills are quick and easy, and meditation can be slow and difficult to learn.
The good news is that more and more people are beginning to realize that meditation and mindfulness works, and are great natural alternatives to medication and even therapy.
And with increased popularity, and mindfulness having been adopted by clinical psychology, more studies are being conducted.
Studies now show that meditation can help treat both anxiety, depression and ADHD, as well as lowering blood pressure and strengthening your immune system – plus a range of other benefits.
So that’s great news!
If you – or someone you know – are on antidepressants, meditation can be a good alternative.
