Meditation Quote 79: “Meditation stops the sound-loving mind.” – Sri Chinmoy

Ready for a little experiment? Just shut your eyes for a second, and pay attention to your thoughts.

Still reading?

…please don’t read anymore until you have closed your eyes and paid attention to your own thoughts.

30 seconds is more than enough.

What do you observe?

“What if my colleagues don’t like my new outfit?” “I wonder what career my daughter will end up in” “How come there are so many…”

Or perhaps some random thought about an errand you have to run tomorrow…

I am sure we all can agree that our mind loves being busy, and our own thoughts often seem to run wild and live a life of their own.

But how do we handle this?

How do we make room for some well deserved rest, relaxation and quiet time?

Yeah, you guessed right. Meditation!
