Virtual Reality Guided Meditation

Virtual Reality Guided Meditation

Wait no more, the future is here!

Imagine yourself putting on a device which transports you to a virtual reality where it feels like you’re  actually there.

That device is called Oculus Rift, and is an amazing piece of technology.

It is still in it’s early stages, but has been adopted by many developers who want to create stunning applications for it.

One of these great applications being developed is simply called “Guided Meditation“, and is made by Cubicle Ninjas.

I was made aware of this virtual reality guided meditation via YouTube, when I saw this review by UKRifter:

As you can see this looks like an amazing experience.

The first location he visits in the application is an “otherwordly” forest with fireflies, nature sounds, and new age music.

In the reviewers words: “It’s sooo smooth”.

And it gets even better!

Who wouldn’t want to sit on the top of a mountain meditating, with 3D wind sound, and a guided meditation in the background?

Or be transported over the ocean to a tropical beach with beautiful waves surrounded by palms, sand and seashells. Listen to a guided meditation in the background, or just sit and enjoy the scenery.

As the reviewer said, “this is, by far, so much more relaxing than anything else I can think of doing”.

If you’ve been looking for another reason to buy an Oculus Rift, now you have a real good one!

And even if you haven’t you can look forward to a future where this becomes the “newest thing” in everyone’s home.
