Meditation Quote 53: “Enjoy simple things with total intensity. Just a cup of tea can be a deep meditation.” – Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh

At times you do perhaps experience a state of “flow”, being “in the zone”, “wired in” or “in tune”. A feeling of being fully immersed in something and forgetting about time while enjoying yourself. What a wonderful state, right?

I bet this act of being fully immersed and focused on a single activity is always a pleasurable thing, making you feel positive and energized.

But what does this state have to do with meditation?

Let’s have a look at our favorite meditation definition:

“It is the restraining of the mind to a single act, state, or thought.” – Aleister Crowley

Here we see that meditation is all about being fully focused on a single act, state, or thought (our article on how to meditate in 3 simple ways offers more explanation about what meditation is).

And that’s the beauty of meditation in a broader definition…

You can meditate in everyday moments, by choosing to “enjoy [..] with total intensity” through complete focus on an act, state, or thought.

Try it today… Make a cup of tea, prepare for some arts & crafts, or find your favorite music – and simply enjoy!

“Enjoy simple things with total intensity. Just a cup of tea can be a deep meditation.”
– Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh
